Yoga at Home

A regular home yoga practice brings so many benefits. Yoga promotes a positive healthy attitude and creates that “feel good feeling”. Once these benefits are experienced yoga will soon become part of your daily routine.

Staying motivated when practicing at home can be a challenge, the Yoga 2 Hear range of audio yoga classes will provide plenty of variety to help keep you motivated.

Here are a few tips to help you develop a regular home yoga practice and remain motivated.  Once you establish your routine, yoga will easily fit into your day.

Find a time that works for you and aim to stick to it.

Early morning is a great time to practice yoga.

Set your alarm before the rest of the house wake.

Practice your yoga before you eat. After lying still in bed all night, yoga will help to move any stagnant energy, remove toxins, increase vitality and set you up for a fantastic day.

If you chose to practice in the evening, try to do it at the same time each day, this way the rest of the household will be aware that this is your yoga time.

Take time to prepare for your practice, roll your mat out somewhere warm and free from obstructions.  Take a shower before you practice and wear clothing that you can move freely in.

Before you begin your yoga practise take a moment to clear your mind.

We all have busy lives and sometimes it may be tempting to miss a yoga practice because we have a lot to do. Remind yourself that even a quick fifteen or thirty minute yoga session will balance your body and mind and still bring many benefits.

Start your home practice with regular short sessions at the same time each day. As you begin to experience the benefits you might find that your practice will naturally lengthen.
