The Benefits of Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra has been practiced for thousands of years, it is as ancient as yoga itself and forms an important part of the practice. Current studies have revealed that it increases dopamine* production, it can help heal trauma and it greatly reduces stress and anxiety. Yoga Nidra is practiced in various clinics around the world to help combat addiction and to relieve symptoms of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).
*Dopamine is a chemical found in the brain it is known as the feel-good neurotransmitter, it brings joy and happiness and is often referred to as that “feel good” chemical.
