Viparita Karani - Legs up the Wall Pose

vip-par-ee-tah car-AHN-ee.

Viparita = inverted.

Karani = in action.

Viparita Karani is also known as the fountain of youth, it is a regenerating restorative yoga pose that brings many benefits.

How to do Viparita Karani

Sit with your right side close to the wall. Carefully lower your back to the ground and move your hips round as you extend your legs up the wall. Your sitting bones should be close to the wall, move your hips away from the wall a little if you experience discomfort in the backs of your legs.

Close your eyes and breathe slowly for as long as is required.
