Baddha Virabhadrasana - The Humble Warrior by Sue FullerBaddha Virabhadrasana - The Humble Warrior

The Humble Warrior is a yoga pose that represents the surrendering and accepting of exactly where we are at this present moment.

This yoga posture opens the shoulder, girdle and chest, lengthens the inner thigh whilst strengthening the hamstrings and buttocks of the bent leg.

This posture follows on from Warrior 1 perfectly.

From Warrior 1 with the left leg forward.  Lower your arms and interlink your fingers behind your lower back and open your chest.  Fold your upper body forwards, so that your left shoulder is on the inside of the left knee.  Release your chin onto your chest and lift your hands away from your body.  Breathe slowly for ten or more complete breaths and then repeat on the other side.

This posture will also help to contain the energy gained from performing Warrior 1.
