Select a class that is of an appropriate level.
Before you roll out your yoga mat, make sure that the area you are practicing in is warm and free from obstructions and that you have enough space to lift your arms in all directions whilst sitting, standing and laying down.
It’s a good idea to choose a time when you won’t be disturbed or distracted so that you can complete the whole session.
Wear clothes that you can move in.
Remember that even experienced practitioners can never do too many basic postures. Laying a foundation is paramount to ensure that you gain maximum benefit and remain free from injuries.
